The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Group

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a exciting storyline featuring celestial beings, fiends, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within the city.

Warning: Key plot points for Episode 3 of this adventure are included.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the premier party of characters who will separate from the main group to embark on their separate journey, separate from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table consists of the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Strategists, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Combat Party

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are rare.

Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might seem mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the team has a clear idea where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose passing kicked off the story’s plot—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting Thimble, and stealing all the powerful objects to dispose of.

The traitor then cleared his debts and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each character has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in the region and warns that it is a hostile location.
  • The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his house’s orders to kill the target and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their position as key figures in the influential clan could assist the team reach places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, Teor vowed a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.

This results in them few options but to head to Timmony in search of the antagonist.

Future Episodes

Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the cast members to assemble the Questers and Planners parties.

Fans can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, streaming live on next week.
