In a unexpected partnership that defies traditional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "An unusual confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of banned rituals and monstrous transformations reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine cult.
The mission concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Extra Material
Players who accomplish the mission will acquire an unique katana in addition to several artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
